Judging Across Editions
Because HTEA travels to a new state each year, the judging structure has two tiers — one permanent, one rotating.
Permanent · Applies to All Editions
HTEA National Board
The National Board is the permanent custodian of the HTEA standard. It stays the same regardless of which state hosts the awards — ensuring that "Best Luxury Hotel" means the same thing in Kwara as it will in Osun, Oyo, or anywhere else.
Rotating · Different Panel per Edition
Edition Judging Panel
Each host state assembles its own seven-person Judging Panel — 3 from the state's Hotel Owners Association, 2 from the state government, and 2 from the state's business sector. This panel is dissolved after each edition, and a new one is formed for the next state.
